Friday Creature

This is my final goat photo — and quite the agile fellow! Have a great Friday the 13th and a wonderful weekend (don’t forget the arkettes)!

Friday Creature

Another Friday? Another goat. Have a great weekend (check out the ark)!

Friday Creature

Can you believe it’s Friday already? As promised, here are more goats. And as always, don’t forget to check the ark! Have a fun, safe and fantastic Halloween weekend!

Friday Creature

This week, I’m going to post the first of several pictures of some goats on my brother’s farm (all taken this past July at the family gathering). That will be my grand finale in the Creatures From My Summer Travels series. As always, the Friday Ark brings you even more in the critter department! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Friday Creature

Another busy week! Wow! Things do move quickly in the fall! This morning I attended the grand opening celebration of Ivy Academy, one of the two pioneering charter schools that became part of our community this year. I might have some photos from that at some point…

But in the meantime, here’s a picture of a horse in Chicago. It’s not the greatest photo in the world (I was walking quickly when I snapped it), but I’m sharing it because of the cool water fountain that the horse is using — it’s a such a pretty and creative way to keep the working animals hydrated in the city! Anyway, more photos can be found on this week’s Ark! Have a great weekend!

Friday Creature

Sometimes you go to the big city expecting to see skyscrapers and lots of people. But then you find yourself in a pocket of tranquility with some elk (and some awesome bike/running trails)! I love Chicago.

And here were are again, back around to another Friday, complete with the ark! I don’t know where the time is racing off to, but this week, I was just trying to hang on. Have a great weekend, everyone! Peace, joy, safety and good heath to you!

Friday Creature

Here’s one more goat from the barnyard series. Keera pointed out in an earlier post that goats often look like they’re smiling. This one definitely does.

Have a great weekend, folks! As always, if the economy or the Longest Election Ever is getting to you, the creatures on the modulator’s ark will be glad to shield you from reality for as long as you care to stay for a visit!

Friday Creature

Last week, Lane_in_PA commented on the slit shape of a goat’s iris. That feature is even more prominent in this week’s blue-eyed goat, who also lives in my brother’s barnyard.

Well, it’s been a draining week, so I imagine people around the globe are relieved to have finally made it to the cusp of the weekend. Do yourself a favor, and don’t even peak at that bank statement, 401(k), or retirement account. Instead, go check out the creatures on this week’s ark. They’ll have a much more favorable effect on your mood.

Friday Creature

This week, we’re still in my brother’s barnyard, but we’ve turned to goats.

It’s actually gotten a little cool here in SE Tennessee, so I’m in the mood for autumnal, cozy things… watch for some comfort food porn this weekend! In the meantime, check out the creatures on this week’s ark! Be safe and happy!

Friday Creature

I realized recently that if I post my creature pics from Turkey one at a time, I’ll be doing them for the rest of the year. So, starting this week, I’m going to clump them up into categories. Since for the past two weeks, I’ve posted images of cattle, I’ll start with that, and publish the rest of the pictures I caught of grazing creatures in Turkey.

In other news, it’s gotten incredibly hot here all of a sudden. Summer really is here, with a vengeance! The talking heads on the teevee tell me that it’s going to be a hot few days for a lot of people here in the US, and that these relentless tornadoes will continue to poke at us. Please stay safe, cool and hydrated, and have a wonderful weekend. As usual, the Friday Ark brings you all manner of fauna! And via towleroad, check out this cool image featuring a huge school of rays!
