If anybody wonders where I am or what I’m up to, check out this link. I’ll be back in Chattavegas on Monday night.

Once again, it’s been busy week. I’ve had meetings and events of one sort or another every day for the past week (including yesterday) — three on Thursday alone! It’s all good stuff, though. Yesterday’s centerpiece was, of course, Max Cleland’s visit to Chattanooga. I put some photos up on ([outdated link redacted]) hamdems.org so until I think of something interesting to say, head on over there and have a looksee.

It’s been a busy week, so I haven’t posted. I’ve been pretty consumed by either ([outdated link redacted]) work or ([outdated link redacted]) politics most of the time, so I haven’t had much to share. I suppose I could chat about all the political stuff, but there are so many people who do that so well that I think I want to avoid becoming another political blog unless I can add something unique to the discussion.
This posting is a community experiment that tests how a meme, represented by this blog posting, spreads across blogspace, physical space and time. It will help to show how ideas travel across blogs in space and time and how blogs are connected. It may also help to show which blogs (and aggregation sites) are most influential in the propagation of memes. The dataset from this experiment will be public, and can be located via Google (or Technorati) by doing a search for the GUID for this meme (below).

Don’t forget: tonight is the first episode of The American Candidate. I’ve never watched a reality television series before and I signed up for Showtime just to watch this program, so I hope it doesn’t suck.
Why? Here’s one reason.
I just don’t understand the Catholic Church. I’ve tried. I was once a member. But I just can’t wrap my head around this apparent alternate universe that the pope inhabits. We’re still reeling from the news that the church aided and abetted men who were molesting and raping our children and the church follows that up with a message to women that despite anything else we might do, the bottom line is that we’re still just a bunch of wombs???
Ouch.
