Things that are older than my marriage for $10, Alex!
Monthly Archive for June, 2009
Twenty-five years ago today, I married this guy. We were really just a couple of kids, with no idea of what we were getting ourselves into, but we’ve managed to survive the rough spots and thrive in the good times. It’s been a greater adventure than I’d ever imagined it would be and I’m eager to see what the next twenty-five will bring…

Painfully loud pitchman Billy Mays died at his home today.
This week, Nonnie turned ten years old. We had a party on Wednesday, with presents to unwrap and yummy food. She’s pretty indispensable around here. One of her very important jobs is to monitor the activity in the neighborhood and she takes it very seriously. I believe it was the first time he performed without his brothers, and it was definitely the first time he moonwalked. I don’t think the kids today can really appreciate how much he changed things back in his prime, before the freak show. And then, too, there’s Thriller.
G-Dog thinks this was his best vocal performance:
Now Michael Jackson’s gone and had a heart attack cardiac arrest.
One of the great icons of my childhood, Farrah Fawcett, lost her well-documented battle with cancer early this morning. Great hair, great smile, and oh, that poster…
