Here’s one more goat from the barnyard series. Keera pointed out in an earlier post that goats often look like they’re smiling. This one definitely does.

Have a great weekend, folks! As always, if the economy or the Longest Election Ever is getting to you, the creatures on the modulator’s ark will be glad to shield you from reality for as long as you care to stay for a visit!

Last week, Lane_in_PA commented on the slit shape of a goat’s iris. That feature is even more prominent in this week’s blue-eyed goat, who also lives in my brother’s barnyard.

Well, it’s been a draining week, so I imagine people around the globe are relieved to have finally made it to the cusp of the weekend. Do yourself a favor, and don’t even peak at that bank statement, 401(k), or retirement account. Instead, go check out the creatures on this week’s ark. They’ll have a much more favorable effect on your mood.

This week, we’re still in my brother’s barnyard, but we’ve turned to goats.

It’s actually gotten a little cool here in SE Tennessee, so I’m in the mood for autumnal, cozy things… watch for some comfort food porn this weekend! In the meantime, check out the creatures on this week’s ark! Be safe and happy!

I realized recently that if I post my creature pics from Turkey one at a time, I’ll be doing them for the rest of the year. So, starting this week, I’m going to clump them up into categories. Since for the past two weeks, I’ve posted images of cattle, I’ll start with that, and publish the rest of the pictures I caught of grazing creatures in Turkey.

In other news, it’s gotten incredibly hot here all of a sudden. Summer really is here, with a vengeance! The talking heads on the teevee tell me that it’s going to be a hot few days for a lot of people here in the US, and that these relentless tornadoes will continue to poke at us. Please stay safe, cool and hydrated, and have a wonderful weekend. As usual, the Friday Ark brings you all manner of fauna! And via towleroad, check out this cool image featuring a huge school of rays!

This is something we saw quite often while driving out in the countryside around İzmir. Cows, sheep and goats are frequently grazed right on the roadside, with cars and trucks whizzing by. These sheep were being tended by an older man, but often I saw animals being watched by youngsters.

Have a happy weekend, everyone! And if you have a chance, check out the last Friday Ark for May!

These cows (and farmer) reside in the Turkish countryside, near İzmir.

I’ll have many other creatures from my trip to share in the next few weeks, folks. In the meantime, though, so many creatures have already boarded the ark today! Check them out and have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

UPDATE: speaking of cows, check out this giant!
