If you’ve been curious about the identity of that little actor who does such a brilliant job of projecting Papa Bear’s deranged anger in those Lil’ O’Reilly spots, wonder no longer! The actor’s name is Jared Gilmore!

In case you missed the first installment of the Lil’ O’Reilly Factor, here it is, from a few weeks ago. As gawker points out:

It’s no surprise that Fox News shouting head Bill O’Reilly, with his frequent temper tantrums and one-note commentary, can be accurately impersonated by a child. What is startling is that a kid could do it so well. “The Lil O’Reilly Factor” sets itself apart from lesser YouTube parodies by being fast, funny, well-written and executed without any verbal stumbles. Take the audio track down a couple of octaves and, with your eyes closed, you could mistake this video for the real thing.

And just out this week, is the newest installment, based on this encounter between the real Bill O’Reilly and Barney Frank:

Here’s the Lil’ O’Reilly version:

Here’s the buzz in the aftermath of Wisconsin and Hawaii:

First, here are the raw numbers from Wisconsin:

John McCain defeated Mike Huckabee 219,652 to 147,742. Meanwhile Barack Obama defeated Hillary Clinton 635,693 to 444,604. Hillary got more votes than McCain and Huckabee combined! Or, as Miles pointed out, “[i]f he were running in the Democratic primary, McCain would have come in a distant third.” WOW. The turnout was also massive in Hawaii.

Kirk Watson responds.

Hrrrmm… the the evidence is in. Barack Obama must be Jewish.

Oh, I wish I was making this up, but I’m not. The falafel-loving centerpiece of the Fox”News” lineup, Bill O’Reilly, has actually been talking about lynching Michelle Obama (update: more from devilstower).

Clinton has her own 527, and they’re shifting in to high gear! See the first ad here!

Media strategist Mark McKinnon is currently advising McCain, but will he stay in his post if Obama is the nominee?

John McCain takes us back to the fun days of the Bob Dole campaign (read the speech!)! Also, McCain blames Obama for the fact that Bush is attacking Pakistan.

Bush’s approval rating has reached a new low, at 19% (that’s an historic low!). And you really do have to wonder what that 19% is thinking!

The Big Dog says Hillary will either be made or broken in Texas and Ohio.

Hillary for Majority Leader!

And, finally, where are the feminists? [update: here they are! (via HP)]

Apparently Bill-O has gone off his meds again (more here).

It’s just that he doesn’t know any black people besides Sharpton (and it gets worse)!

Here’s some great coverage from (who else?) Keith Olbermann.

More here and here.

I couldn’t get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia’s restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it’s run by blacks, primarily black patronship. [...] There wasn’t one person in Sylvia’s who was screaming, “M-Fer, I want more iced tea.” You know, I mean, everybody was — it was like going into an Italian restaurant in an all-white suburb in the sense of people were sitting there, and they were ordering and having fun. And there wasn’t any kind of craziness at all.

Bill O’Reilly (Papa Bear) was a guest on the Colbert Report tonight. The video should be up on YouTube by the morning…

This gave me my morning chuckle. I think Sweet Jesus, I hate Bill O’Reilly, International broke the story, but it’s already spread far and wide:

Republican Child Predator Labeled ‘Democrat’ on O’Reilly Factor

If O’Reilly (or even Fox”News”) had an credibility, this would be upsetting, but since they don’t, it’s just funny, and speaks loudly of their realization that their party leadership’s behavior was indefensible. And since their viewers continue to bail like rats from a ship, all they have left are the willfully ignorant anyway.

UPDATE: the AP has followed suit! Is this a Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy (tinvrwc)!?!??

I’m finding it hard to believe that Ann Coulter is as stupid as she appears to be. She makes her living by stirring the pot, so you’d think she would be on her best behavior, anticipating that her many enemies would put her, and her work, under a microscope. (Then again, the same standard applied to Rush Limbaugh, Bill Clinton, Tom DeLay and a bunch of other poliltical lightening rods, and they couldn’t figure it out. When will people learn?)

As I’ve been following the saga of Joe Lieberman this past week, I’ve been wondering why people are so confused about how political parties work. (We’ve been having a related drama here in Chattanooga this week, as Democratic officials have been shocked to discover that they are expected to support Democrat candidates and not those of the opposition.) Here is the way things work in a nutshell: if you want to be an official member of a political party, you will be expected to support the candidates fielded by that party. If you want to play à la carte politics, you should not become an official of a political party. If you hold an elected office of a political party, you are expected to adhere to the general philosophy of that party. If you become enamored with your party’s nemesis, don’t be surprised if your party goes shopping for a better candidate. And if you’re an official member of that party, you will be expected to support the nominee, even if he’s not the incumbent. OK. Is that clear now?

(Oh, yeah, and if you read a local politics blog, don’t be suprised to discover that it’s a partisan site… Sheesh! Why is that such a shock for some people?!?)

I know some people wanted to see Ken Lay rot in prison, but he dodged that bullet. I hope his numerous victims are able to pick over what’s left of his estate. If there is a hell, it’s a bit more crowded today.

And finally, now much does it suck to be a falafel-lovin‘, lefty-hatinBill O’Reilly and see a snarky, smug liberal overtake your deranged, hate-spewing show in the ratings?

I guess neither Ailes or O’Reilly realize that when you tie your entire show and network to a president, you become as popular or unpopular as Bush has. Or as Nickolas D. Kristof said in the NYTimes [alternate link]:

“The real victims of Fox News weren’t the liberals it attacked, but the conservatives who believed it…..”

I think it’s my brother’s favorite domain name.

And now, it’s a book (via C&L).
